Looking to get your garden back in shape -- or just brighten up your home with a few plants or flowers? The Milton and District Horticultural Society can help.

Now in its 98th year, the local group will hold its annual plant sale fundraiser Thursday, May 15 at the Milton Fair Grounds.

Plant and flower donations from both members and the public -- as well as a number of area nurseries -- will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the actual sale beginning at 7 p.m.

The sale serves as the main source of revenue for the group, which among other things maintains public gardens at Allendale, Town Hall and the Visitors' Information Centre at Steeles Avenue and Regional Road 25.

Operating year-round, the horticultural society also features a wide array of public speakers through its meetings, held at Milton Bible Church, 200 Main St. E, the third Monday evening of every month at 7:30 p.m.

New members are always welcome, and those interested in joining are asked to attend a meeting or visit the website at Halinet.on.ca/miltonhort.
