You're being invited to a trip down memory lane with a school reunion that'll take place Saturday, Apr. 5 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Country Heritage Park, 8560 Tremaine Rd., in the Niagara Room.

The reunion will mark the 50th anniversary of the school closing in 1958.

The rural, one-room public school opened in 1823 on the northwest corner of Ninth Line and Derry Road.

For 135 years, McCurdy's was both a school and a community centre.

When it closed, students were transferred to the eight-room Percy Merry Public School on Britannia Road, which closed a few years ago.

The reunion will give former students a chance to reminisce and find out what everyone's up to now.

Attendees are asked to bring school photos. A memory CD will be created and will be available at a later date.

Copies can be reserved for $6.
